Welcome to Kindergarten
Kindergarten is a milestone in your child’s life and we are pleased that you are considering
Richard Allen Schools for your child’s educational experiences. Kindergarten is not only the
beginning of your son's/daughter’s first formal education, it is also the first step toward life-long
learning and social participation. We would be honored to partner with you on your child’s

Daily Phonics Practice

Learning phonics will help your children learn to read and spell. Written language can be compared to code. Knowing the sounds of letters and letter combinations will help your child decode words as he/she reads. Knowing phonics will also help your child know which letters to use as he/she writes words.
